Foxon Wins Again

Foxon's wall is getting crowded with trophies and plaques from all of his training championships, but he never minds adding one more.  This time, it's the Summer Quarter trophy.  "I'm always happy to win.  I'm very competitive, you know, so I'd be disappointed if I didn't win," Foxon said.  "I'm really happy to have Dragnil around.  Win Mr. Lucky dropped out of the trainer competition, I was worried I wouldn't have anyone forcing me to work.  But Dragnil's always right there to pounce if I get lazy."

Dragnil seemed to take his second place finish philosophically.  "Now that Delta has evened out the awards, you get just as much for second as you do for first.  So all I'm missing is a little glory.  And Foxon's a great trainer, so it's hard to be upset about finishing second to a guy like that.  Besides, Delta's always getting the seasons wrong.  That's what we get for letting someone from the wrong hemisphere name the awards."

Third place finisher Dan was all smiles.  "Finishing third to guys like Foxon and Dragnil?  That's no disgrace.  I mean, winning is better of course, but I'm pretty happy with my stables and my horses.  You'll hear no complaints from me."
