The Alpine Turf Club

We are dedicated to fun and friendly competition and converstation, with emphasis on fun and friendly rather than competition.

Our residency tracks are Portugal, Spain, France, Longchamp, Germany, Italy, and Greece. Yes, we know that the Alps are not in or even close to Portugal, Spain, and Greece, but we don't make fun of your residency. At least when you can hear us.

We only have a few rules around here. The main one is pretty simple - don't do anything that will prevent others from running their horses and enjoying the Sim. If there's any question what that means, Delta will be the judge. You really have to work at it to break this rule, so chances are that you won't ever hear about it again.

Membership

Because we are a small residency and dedicated to remaining small, we want to place an emphasis on active members. To remain an active member, be sure to do at least one of the following:

1. Post to the message board. If you talk to us, we can't forget you are here.

2. Participate in residency races and contests. Sorry, but the TOY contest doesn't count for this. After all, you were going to run your horses any way, right?

3. Contribute. Contributions can be credits, or running a competition, or anything that your skills and talents and interests give you the ability to do.

No one expects you to do all these things every week (although we welcome it if you do) but if an extended period of time goes by without us hearing from you, we will consider suspending your stable until you have time to dedicate to the residency again.

Trainer Competition Rules

The Trainer of the Year and Trainer of the Quarter competitions are scored as follows:

win - 10 pts

second - 5 points

third - 3 points

A horse can score points for running in a stakes race any where in the world. Other kinds of races count only if they are run at an ATC member track.
